Renowned as one of the world’s three major fishing grounds, the Sanriku region is blessed with rich marine resources and highly advanced seafood processing expertise.

Sanriku offshore is the rare ocean crosspoint of the Kuroshio (warm current) and the Oyashio (cold current). This exceptional marine environment nurtures an extraordinary variety of seafood throughout all four seasons, making the Sanriku region as one of the world’s most diverse fishing regions.
The rugged ria coastline consists of mountains and intricate inlets. The calm inner bays, fed by mineral-rich mountain waters, provide an ideal environment for aquaculture, producing both wild-caught and farmed seafood known for its high nutritional value and rich flavor.
More than 500 seafood processing companies are located along the Sanriku coastline, stretching over 300 km, each equipped with specialized and diverse processing capabilities. Leveraging advanced freshness-preservation technologies, we offer a wide range of processing methods tailored to customer demands.

Founded in 2016 through joint investment by the Abecho Group and 7 seafood processing companies, Sanriku Corporation serves as the overseas sales division of the Abecho Group, a leading fishery business group running 8 processing plants, 3 hotels and 5 restaurants in Japan’s Sanriku region.
We are not merely a food exporter. We act as “a comprehensive food consultancy partner”, co-creating solutions by addressing the diverse challenges faced by stakeholders both in Japan and overseas. For restaurants and hotels, we support the development of new menus and concepts while ensuring a stable supply of high-quality and distinctive ingredients. For Japanese suppliers, we assist in developing export-oriented products and production systems, as well as in expanding into overseas markets by leveraging the unique strengths of each company and production regions.
Guided by the principle of “Sanpō-yoshi (Three-Ways Satisfaction)”—benefiting the buyer, the seller, and society at large—Sanriku Corporation is committed to creating value for all stakeholders. Under this guiding philosophy, we continue to share Sanriku’s rich and diverse marine resources with the world, making everyone touched and pleased with our services and products.
